Packet Filters
The AWK-5222 includes various filters for IP-based packets going through LAN and WLAN
interfaces. You can set these filters as a firewall to help enhance network security.
MAC Filter
The AWK-5222’s MAC filter is a policy-based filter that can allow or filter out IP-based packets
with specified MAC addresses. The AWK-5222 provides 8 entities for setting MAC addresses in
your filtering policy. Remember to check the Active check box for each entity to activate the
setting.

ATTENTION
Be careful when you enable the filter function:
Drop + “no entity on list is activated” = all packets are allowed
Accept + “no entity on list is activated” = all packets are denied
