DSL Port Connection

The DSL port located on the IEX-402-SHDSL has two connection options.

One is the RJ45 connector interface (2-wire on pin 4 and pin 5), the other

is the screw detachable interface. Pinouts are illustrated below.

Wiring the 2-Contact DSL Port

The 2-contact terminal block connectors on the IEX's top panel are used

for the IEX's DSL port wiring. Top and front views of the terminal block

connectors are shown here.

Step 1:

Insert the wires into the Ring/Tip terminals

Step 2:

To keep the wires from pulling loose, use a small

flat

-blade screwdriver to tighten the wire-clamp screws

on the front of the terminal block connector.

Step 3:

Insert the plastic terminal block connector

prongs into the terminal block receptor, which is located

the IEX’s top panel.
